Bosskill DKP (submitted by Kitey at 08:42am MDT)

To ease the importation of dkp data, loot will now be associated to the hour in which it drops, rather than to the bosskill itself. We may return to our customary reporting model at a later date.
DKP Structure (submitted by Kitey at 08:42am MDT)

Here is how DKP is awarded to the raid. It only applies to 25 man instances, and is administered by the officership through this website.

DKP Award Structure:
10 dkp as an on-time award
2 dkp per hour
2 dkp per bosskill
10 dkp Ironman bonus (staying for the raid's duration)
dkp for Raid Mat turn ins

The on time bonus is awarded to those who are at the instance door with the right gear, spec and consumables 10 minutes prior to raid time. Please see the penalty structure below in reference to failure to flask, food or pot before boss attempts.

The ironman bonus is awarded to those who attend all 4 hours using consumables the whole time. You can be late and still get the ironman bonus, as long as you arrive in time to get attendance credit for the first hour.

All players earn equivalent dkp whether you are in the instance or not. As soon as you log your toon, an officer will invite you to the raid. The dkp you earn starts at the moment you are invited, and continues until you leave the raid.

Your main must be invited to the raid to earn dkp, and that toon must remain outside the instance unless you are given explicit, unsolicited instructions that you may play him/her elsewhere. (In other words, do not ask to pvp on your main; one of the officership will grant you permission to do so if circumstances arise. However, do feel free to ask for clarification about where you can/should be during the raid.) You may log an alt to play, but your main must be available and unflagged the moment s/he is needed. Failure to do so risks forfeiture of your dkp for the evening.

Raid Mat DKP
For every 10g worth of raid materials, you will earn 1 dkp point, up to 20 dkp per raid week

Deposit what you like to the guild bank. The log will record your deposit. I check it daily, so I'll update your dkp when I see the entry. If you choose, you can give your raid mats to an officer, and ask them to send me a tell or a message that you've sent something.

See below for a list of what we accept.

If you want to send partial stacks, please feel free. DKP for your contributions will be tallied once they pass the 10g mark. Contributions that are not on this list will be adjudicated for dkp award on a case-by-case basis, so if in doubt, feel free to ask.

DKP Penalties (include, but are not limited to):
-3 if Kitey has to look up your dkp
-5 for spamming anything during loot in any channel that an officer doing loot can see (which begins when the corpse is looted)
at least -10 dkp for afk without notifying an officer or the raid leader
at least -15 dkp for afk before a bossfight (and you may be removed from the raid)
-15 for no post / no show (absent without using the forums to provide advance notification)
at least -10 for serious infractions that result in serious disruptions to the raid

Penalties are levied by the raid leader, your class leader, a member of the officership, or the guild master. These penalties are subject to increase or decrease at the discretion of the officership.

The raid leader reserves the right to penalize players who fail to food, flask or pot. The amounts of these penalties are at his/her discretion.

Bidding on and Winning Items:
To indicate your interest in an item that drops, send your bid in a whisper to the officer administering dkp for the evening. You may bid as much dkp as you have earned, but the minimum bid for an item is 3 dkp. The highest bid wins the item.

Once you have won the item, you spend only one point more than the second highest bid. If no one else bids for the item, you spend only 3 dkp.

To whisper your bid, type:
/t kitey proxy n

where n= the amount you wish to bid.

This structure is subject to adjustment and alteration. Please direct your questions to a member of the officership.

Bid Priority and Loot Distribution--Demystified! (submitted by Kitey at 08:42am MDT)

Bidding Priority: Silent bids will be accepted in two rounds according to priority.

A player may bid Priority 1 if all the following conditions are met:

1) The item is a clear Raid upgrade to your Primary Role in raid. What is your primary role? The thing you do most. Fury warriors are primarly dps. Hybrids must choose their primary role by the role that they play most.

2) If the item is armor, then the item is of a class of armor that is appropriate to your class. Example- Fury and MS warriors can ONLY roll P1 on Plate, not Mail or Leather. Rogues only get leather. Shammies only get mail.

3) If the item is a weapon, then the weapon is appropriate to your chosen Primary Role. Rogues do not bid on Tanking swords. Tanks don't bid on dps swords. Healers do not bid on DPS weapons. Only healers roll on healing gear.

4) You have not looted the same item before, if and only if the the item is a set token. For example, Jana CAN get the same two rings, they not unique, but only 1 set item of any type can be taken p1. No t6 resto and ret gear till all at least have their first.

5) If the item transforms into an item that would satisfy the above conditions, it can be bid on as if it were that item. This is how we will deal with new Sunwell loot changes, i.e .using things as tokens.

A player must bid Priority 2 if all the following conditions are met:

1) I will use this item for any reason, other than sharding or vendoring.

Violations will cost 25% of your dkp on the first offense, 50% the second, and 100% for any further misconduct. It is at officer discretion to impose negative dkp if a person has very little when they abuse the system.

We will have about 10-15 seconds to place bids, so please know what drops you want/need, and know your dkp before the raid begins. If noone submits bids in the first round, then the bidding will open to the entire raid.

Patterns: There are 2 types of epic patterns that drop in SSC, The Eye, MH and BT:

1. BoP patterns that use BoP [Nether Vortex] or BoE [Heart of Darkness] to make BoE items .
2. BoE patterns that use BoE mats to make BoP items.

Type 1 patterns will be bid upon by anyone who has the skill to make it.

Type 2 patterns will go to the bank for later distribution or sale.

Nether Vortexes: Raiders needing vortexes to make an item may bid on these when they drop. The winner of that auction will receive the additional vortexes s/he needs at 10 dkp per vortex. Once the player has all the vortexes s/he needs, the next vortex is put up for auction.

If either you or your craftsman misses a raid in which a vortex drops but you have already started collecting them, then you are first in line to take them when they drop again on the first raid that both you and your craftsman can attend. In your absence, the vortexes go up for bid. That person will automatically step up in line to take them when they drop after you have completed your set.

If we are benched but our craftsman is in the raid, we may bid on new vortexes and accept vortexes that complete a set.

You are entitled to bid your dkp on these drops--no one will be forced to pass. But please be mindful of the needs and desires of other players when you place your bid, particularly if the item would be used to craft an upgrade.

Special Events: During special events (like the Battle for Mount Hyjal) that offer us little or no time to pause to dispose of loot:

If you do not want the item, PASS.

If you are a priority 1 bidder, roll NEED.

If you are a priority 2 bidder, roll GREED.

The winner of the item will be charged 50 dkp if the roll is a Need roll, 25 if it's a Greed roll. Please review the loot table for Hyjal and reread the dkp page to determine what loot you will need, and which you will greed.

Epic Gems: All Epic Gems will be given to Sylune (or another officer in his absence) to be banked. Please see Kazin's forum thread to see how those are to be distributed. DKP costs will vary in accordance with the amount paid for the item to be socketed.

Hearts of Darkness: These items will go to the guild bank to be requested by crafters to make shadow resist items. Once everyone has their basic SR set (cape + two additional pieces) they will be open to distribution to the raid for crafting P1 gear at a cost of 10dkp per heart.

Sunmotes: These items will go to the guild bank to be requested for gear that players wish to turn in to vendors for exchange. Distribution method and dkp cost TBA.
